2024 Aluminium Alloy
2024 Aluminium Alloy is the typical hard aluminum alloy in the system of aluminium-copper-magnesium, the composition is reasonable and the comprehensive performance is good.
many countries are producing this alloy, its use level is the largest among hard aluminum alloys.
this alloy is characterized by high strength, certain heat resistance, can be used as work parts under 150℃. the strength of 2024 Alloy is higher than 7075 Alloy even when the temperature is higher than 125℃.
Hot state, annealing and forming properties of the new quenching state are relatively good, the heat treatment strengthening effect is obvious, but the heat treatment process is strict. this alloy is characterized by high strength, certain heat resistance, can be used as work parts under 150℃. the strength of 2024 Alloy is higher than 7075 Alloy even when the temperature is higher than 125℃.
poor corrosion resistance, but it can be effectively protected by the pure aluminum coating ; easy to produce cracks when welding, but with the use of special processes can be welded, can also be riveting.
Widely used in aircraft structure (skin, skeleton, rib beam, frame, etc.), rivets, missile components, truck wheels, propeller components and other structural parts.
